Was This Customer Nervous About Our Service?

We recently helped out a local customer near the Arlington, VA area who had been long overdue for a proper home siding pressure washing.

This customer had apparently never hired a professional pressure washing company, such as ourselves, to come out and clean up the exterior of their home's siding before.

In fact, one of their biggest worries was in our equipment using too much water pressure and potentially shattering through one of their main French, patio glass door entryways to their home.

We quickly reassured them that we used specific nozzles for every job and that each nozzle allowed us to precisely fine-tune our pressure washing capabilities as needed.

This allows us to clean thoroughly, without doing any unnecessary damage to the properties of our clients.

How Did This Customer's Fence End Up Turning So Green?

Unfortunately, this is an all-too-common problem which can sometimes occur in certain cases to wood or other lumber which is exposed to the outdoor elements for extended periods of time.

The process doesn't occur overnight, but rather across an extended period of months or even years of being exposed to extensive amounts of moisture, debris, and other common types of dust and particles.

This type of swampy-looking green washed wood is not only an eyesore for your home but can also compromise the overall integrity of your wooden fence, patio, or railings.

Specifically, the green stuff that can form and collect on outdoor wood surfaces tends to be either mold, mildew, or algae.

Although it's not present to the naked eye, all wood surfaces contain thousands upon thousands of time holes.

These hidden nooks and spaces are constantly collecting moisture, spores and other elements which are constantly churning about outdoors.

The longer such materials stay around and inside these tiny holes in the wood, the more a slimy film will begin to form over the wood.

And this film just so happens to often be green.

As typical with concrete surface cleans, we set the hot water settings on our pressure washer to be elevated but still within safe measures for effective surface cleaning. Then, with slow and methodical passes of the surface cleaner, we watch the debris dissolving power of the steam do its magic!
